Ironhorse at Central Station wins grand award prize in the GREEN building at the 2010 Mult-Family Executive Awards

Ironhorse at Central Station won an award last week at the 2010 Multi-Family Executive Awards ceremony in Las Vegas. Ironhorse Apartments will also be featured in next month's issue of the Multi-Family Executive (MFE) magazine.

Estabrook Senior Housing recieved a green point rating of 184 green points for implementing green features such as: photovoltaic panels, solor hot water system, hydronic space heating, bay friendly landscaping, low VOC paints, energy efficient lighting and recycled carpet to list a few.

Grand Opening!

Today West Oakland will celebrate the grand opening of Ironhorse at Central Station. The 99-apartment community contains a mix of one, two, and three bedroom homes affordable to individual families with annual incomes ranging from $18,000 to $50,000. In addition Ironhrose includes numerous sustainable or "green" building features.

Green Point Rated

The Ironhorse Apartments at Central Station located in West Oakland, recieved 146 Green Points for implementing green features in the areas of energy, resources, health, water and community. The 146 GreenPoint Rating was nearly three times the score needed to qualify for the certification program.

2009 Golden Nugget Awards: Grand Award

The Golden Nugget Award has been recognizing and rewarding facilities that have improved communities through exceptional concepts in design planning and development for the past 46 years. Devries Senior Housing recieved the Golden Nugget Grand Award for Most Outstanding Seniors Housing Community.

2009 Urban Land Institutes Award for Excellence

The Urban Land Institutes Award for Excellence, recognizes the full development process of a project, not just its architecture or design. The criteria for the awards include leadership, contribution to the community, innovations, public/private partnership, environmental protection and enhancement, response to societal needs, and financial viability.

2007EBALDC Community Service Award

J.H. Fitzmaurice recvieved the 2007 EBALDC Community Service Award. This award was given for the company's involvement and contributions to the community.

2006 Review by the Green Affordable Housing Coalition

Alcalanes Court located in Walnut Creek, Ca., recieved recognition for incorporating GREEN building features such as durable siding, mechanical systems and solar panels in its design.
